SEO, especially landing page SEO is incredibly important if you want your offer and landing pages to be found. Not only on Google but also on the other search engines and more importantly across social media as well.

In this video I show you how to use the integrated SEO Meta Data function so your pages are indexed correctly but also to ensure that you have total control over what graphics and text is shared on Social Media.
SEO Meta Data
To clarify, this article is not about 'On Page SEO' which is more about page titles, headlines, page URL's or internal and external linking. It's a good idea that you look at what you include on your page, the keywords you are looking to rank for, and the structure your page along known SEO guidelines. This article is focused on the technical meta data you should use and how you create that information when building your landing pages within GoHighLevel.
To build your SEO Meta Data on any landing page you are working on, simply click on Settings located at the top left of your page builder and then on SEO Meta Data.
SEO Title & Description
This will then open up the SEO Meta Data panel to the left hand side of the screen (as shown above). You will see a number of fields for you to fill in. These include the 'Title' and 'Description' which makes sure the title and description you want to give your page is not only submitted to the search engines but ensures that the correct page title is displayed in the browser tab as well.
SEO Keywords
Next are the keywords you want Google to index you for. You also have a field where you can include the author, this isn't so important nowadays, but put it in anyway, the more data the better. This can be your business name or the individual who wrote the article. Make this consistent. We always put our business, in this instance FunnelCentrix.
SEO For Social Media
There are so many pages online that have been there a lot longer and with more information than your landing page. The likelihood of your landing page being indexed in the top 10 ranking sites for any given keyword on Google is slim.
The most important aspect of this SEO Meta Data configuration is the information you provide that will be shown on the social media platforms such as Facebook and LinkedIn.
Using this SEO Meta Data function you can dictate exactly what will be shown when you or anyone shares your landing page URL.
The important fields here are the Title, Description and the Social Image you upload. Make the image 1280 x 720 to be sure it looks good on the Social Platforms.
PRO TIP:
Once your SEO Meta Data is complete and saved, put the URL of your landing page through the Facebook Debugger to make sure Facebook sees the data you have created.

What If I DON'T Want Google To Index My Landing Page?
There are times when you do not want to get a page within your funnel to be indexed in Google, especially delivery, thank you and nurturing pages. These pages have been created for people who have opted in or paid for information. The last thing you want is your Lead Magnet delivery page listed in Google so anyone can download your free giveaway without giving you their details fist (sort of defeats the objective).
With GoHighLevel it's simple. You can use Custom Meta Tags to tell google not to index the page or to follow it.
Click '+Add' and it will open up a couple of fields. The first on on the Meta Tag Name. In here your type 'robots' in the Content field you type 'noindex'
You can also use the robots tag with 'nofollow' if required.
